HistoIndex, a company from Singapore that creates imaging solutions for biological tissues, has raised SGD9 million in funding.
OCBC led the round with participation from ZIG Ventures and SEEDS Capital.
The company plans to use the funds to grow its operations and enhance its research and development efforts.
HistoIndex, founded in 2010 and led by CEO Dr. Gideon Ho, offers advanced imaging solutions that don’t require stains to visualize and measure fibrosis in biological tissues. Using a mix of light-based technology and AI, it provides new tools better to assess changes in fibrosis and the effectiveness of drugs.
HistoIndex’s digital pathology solutions are used to speed up clinical research, help develop pharmaceutical drugs faster, and improve medical standards.
The company recently launched its first lab test, FibroSIGHT, which is now available to order in the US. This test helps doctors assess liver fibrosis.
