At 13, Aaron Tan Singaporean boy launched 1st startup, today built $1bn worth company. How?

Meet Aaron Tan who started at 13 with 1st startup then, launched 2nd startup at 16 and at 36 built $ 1bn worth company.

Back then, Aaron learnt programming by books then used to create websites for their clients in the exchange of thousands $. At age 16, he founded a second technology-based startup.

However, by the time he turned 21, he had sold both companies.

In order to concentrate on computers and software development, he left junior college to enroll in a polytechnic without informing his parents.

Subsequently, this Singaporean boy worked for Singtel Innov8 Ventures, the top venture fund in Southeast Asia, for nearly five years. After that, he moved to the USA and founded Block71 in San Francisco.

Aaron met many different auto companies in the US, like DriveShift, Uber, and Beepi, which showed to him the industry’s momentum.

The American auto resale market was booming, while Southeast Asia’s auto resale market was suffering because it was difficult for buyers and sellers to negotiate the best prices due to multiple middlemen.

Finally, to resolve this issue Aaron returned to singapore. In 2015, along with his friends, Aditya Lesmana and Kelvin Chng, Aarona founded, Carro, an Singaporean AI-driven platform for buying and selling used cars. It is Southeast Asia’s biggest automotive marketplace, with a minimum valuation of $1 billion USD. Aaron says “We always need to learn and relearn, and be certain of the matter at hand before acting on it.”

Aaron’s this perspective and a strong will power to do something big in life made them a successful billionaire entrepreneur.
