Hurotics Closes $18.6 Mn Expand Medical Robots and Develop Walking Assist Devices
Oct 15, 2026 | By Nguyen Minh

South Korean wearable robotics startup Hurotics has raised approximately $18.6 million in Series A funding led by Atinum Investment to expand its medical rehabilitation products overseas and develop wearable robots that assist with daily walking.
Investors in Hurotics
The funding round included participation from existing investors Stonebridge Ventures, Industrial Bank of Korea, AJU IB Investment, and Wonik Investment Partners.
New investors, including Mirae Asset Venture Investment, also joined the round. Strategic investors Daewoong, Naver, and Lotte participated, bringing support from the healthcare, technology, and retail sectors.
Hurotics plans to work with these investors to expand its hospital distribution network, enter international markets, and improve its software and data capabilities.
Hurotics Expands Hospital and International Presence
Since its commercial launch in September 2025, H-Medi has been introduced at several medical institutions in South Korea, including Severance Hospital, Chung-Ang University Hospital, and Korea University Hospital.
In June 2026, the company exported the device to the University of Illinois Chicago in the United States. The system is being used for stroke rehabilitation research and physical therapist training.
Hurotics is also pursuing international commercial opportunities, including in Japan and Southeast Asia, while working with medical institutions to build evidence for its technology.
How Hurotics Plans to Use the Funding
Hurotics will use the new capital to expand overseas certification and distribution for H-Medi. It also plans to develop and manufacture H-Care, a wearable robot designed to assist people with walking during everyday activities.
Over the longer term, the company aims to develop a wearable physical AI data platform using movement data collected through its devices. Planned applications include personalised walking assistance and software that can help predict muscle loss and fall risks.
The company expects its strategic investors to support hospital supply, distribution, international expansion, and software development.
