India’s first Tech startup recognized by Startup India, Torus Robotics has raised $470K in seed round led by Tamil Nadu Infrastructure Fund Management Corporation (TNIFMC), under Tamil Nadu Emerging Sector Seed Fund (TNESSF).

Other investors included Forge Innovation & Ventures, Coimbatore, and SINE (Society for Innovation & Entrepreneurship) IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) Bombay.

The funding will be used to fund innovation and expansion as well as to expand Torus Robotics’ R&D activities, which will guarantee a quick transfer of their products from the laboratory to the market.

“This funding will empower us to invest in R&D and introduce new products that can meet the changing needs of customers in the EV automotive space,” Vibhakar Senthil, co-founder of Torus Robotics, said.
