For the fifth straight year, Lexus is the official automotive sponsor of the HSBC Women’s World Championship (HWWC) 2025, for the car brand to support sustainable organizations that champion its environmental mission. Having started in 2006, the 72-hole stroke play golf tournament is slated for the 17th consecutive year in Singapore from February 27 to March 2, 2025.

The tournament will be played at Tanjong Course, Sentosa Golf Club, where the sustainable practice is (in) practised as the club was awarded “Asia’s Best Eco-Friendly Golf Facility” at the 2024 World Golf Awards. Currently, with a set vision of having net zero emissions in the next thirty years, the club has adopted using lithium-ion battery-powered golf carts. It also complements Lexus’ vision towards carbon neutrality by 2030, where Lexus plans to scale up electrification by offering a spectrum of electrified models for diverse luxury consumer use while recycling at the same time.

The championship is going to feature such a golfer as 2024’s winner, Hannah Green, as well as many other women and male golfers from around the entire world. Green is expected to compete for the title this year after narrowly defeating France’s Celine Boutier by a single stroke to make her the second Australian winner of this title. Green finished with a final-round 67 for three birdies in the last three holes and the fourth LPGA title.
Concerning the spirit of the game and the tiresome efforts that the HWWC’s tournament players are demonstrating, Lexus, as a brand of automobiles that embraces Takumi craftsmanship in its production, will offer those golf players the Whole-In-One knocks that are traditionally considered to signify the dedication to detail that characterizes Lexus automobiles. Contestants will participate in a chance to win an all-electric Lexus RZ450e Luxury SUV and, more specifically, DIRECT4 drive-force technology, a newly developed eAxle, a water-cooled lithium-ion battery, and a perfect match with the tournament’s environmental conservation goal.
“We’re proud to be the official automotive partner of the HWWC tournament for the fifth year,” said Preston Tan, Vice President of Lexus Asia. “Golf is a sport that embodies discipline, precision, and the pursuit of excellence, as players continuously strive to refine and elevate their skills. These principles resonate deeply with Lexus’ commitment to constantly improve and our high regard for craftsmanship to deliver amazing experiences. With exciting event highlights every season, we hope to see a rise of younger audiences.”
As a major supporter of the golfing sport, Lexus will therefore endeavour to advance the legacy of the HWWC by providing more opportunities for customers throughout Asia to partake in the Lexus Cup regional golfing competition.
