[Funding Alert] Israel based Maniv Secures Third Early-Stage Venture Fund, at $140 Million

Maniv, a venture capital firm with offices in NYC and Tel Aviv, Israel, they partner with founders advancing the cleaner, safer, more efficient and more sustainable movement of people and goods.

High net worth individuals, institutional money, and a group of leading industry players in the transportation space support Maniv III. Investors Valeo, InMotion Ventures, the investment arm of Jaguar-Land Rover, Woven Capital of Toyota Motor Corp., a major European insurance company, global leader in automotive dealer and distributor groups, BNP Paribas Personal Finance of Europe’s bank BNP Paribas, global leader in sustainable infrastructure Ferrovial, Shell Ventures of the global energy giant Shell, Enterprise Mobility Ventures, the VC arm of Enterprise Mobility, industrial manufacturing leader ITT Inc., fleet payments leader WEX, and more are among the LPs.

The vehicle increased the amount of funds under management for the company to around $320 million. It will fund Seed and Series A stage companies that are centered on the nexus of mobility, transportation, and energy.

Under the direction of General Partner Nate Jaret and Managing Partner Michael Granoff, the company makes investments in deep technology and novel business models centered on two main ideas.

Startups are accelerating the digitization of the value chains involved in land, sea, and air transportation, spanning from production to logistics and fulfillment, vehicle access, maintenance and repair, insurance, fleet management, and more. Startups utilizing novel technologies, form factors, business strategies, and platforms are spearheading the decarbonization of transportation.

Maniv led investments in breakthrough companies from its first two funds, such as the Tel Aviv-based AI edge silicon scaleup Hailo, the New York-based EV ridehailing and charging network Revel, the Los Angeles-based medium-duty EV truck manufacturer Harbinger Motors, the Mexico City-based intercity bussing platform Kolors, the Bangalore-based two-wheeler EV OEM River, and the Madrid-based car subscription startup Bipi, which was acquired by Renault’s financing arm RCI Banque in 2021.
