Meta Launches Muse AI Agent

Meta has launched its Muse personal AI agent in Singapore, expanding its AI services into the Asia-Pacific region. The launch introduces connections with popular local platforms, including Shopee, Grab, Singapore Airlines, Agoda, ShopBack, Klook, Trip.com and Lazada.

Muse is designed to help users complete everyday tasks through connected services. Instead of simply answering questions, the AI agent can research products, compare options, plan trips and assist with shopping and other activities.

Muse Connects with Singapore's Popular Platforms

Through its local integrations, Muse allows users to explore products on Shopee and Lazada, plan grocery shopping and dining through Grab, and research travel options using Singapore Airlines, Agoda, Klook and Trip.com.

The integration with ShopBack is designed to help users discover cashback opportunities and dining offers.

Meta said the connectors will become available gradually, so some features may not be accessible to all users immediately. Muse also connects with services such as Gmail, Google Calendar and Instagram, allowing it to work with emails, schedules and saved content when users grant permission.

AI Agent Can Complete Tasks with User Approval

Muse is designed to handle multi-step activities across different services. Users can ask it to research options, organise plans and carry out tasks through connected platforms.

However, Meta requires user approval before sensitive actions, including sending emails, making purchases or initiating payments.

According to the company, connected credentials and data are stored in a dedicated cloud environment called Muse Secure VM. Passwords and payment information are kept outside the AI agent's direct access.

Meta has also published details about its security approach for AI agents. However, the service's reliability and security protections have yet to be independently tested at scale in Singapore.

Muse Expands Beyond Its Initial US Launch

The Singapore launch follows Muse's initial rollout in the United States in September 2026.

With the latest expansion, Meta is bringing its AI agent closer to everyday consumer services by connecting it with platforms widely used in Singapore.

The company also plans to bring Muse to its AI glasses, although the feature is not yet available and no specific launch date has been announced for Singapore.

Availability and Subscription Plans

Muse is available through iOS, Android and the web. Users can access the service through the Apple App Store, Google Play and its official website.

Meta said the service is free for most everyday activities, while subscription plans are available for users who need higher usage limits. However, the company has not announced subscription prices or specific usage limits for Singapore.

The launch gives local shopping, travel and delivery platforms another way to reach customers through AI-powered services. It also reflects Meta's broader push to make AI agents useful for everyday activities beyond traditional chat-based interactions.
