Mumbai-based prebiotic soda brand Misfits has raised an undisclosed amount in a seed funding round from several well-known investors.

The investors include Nu Ventures, experienced angel investor Subba Rao Telidevara, Bijoy Daga from Turiya Advisory Services, and corporate finance consultant Robert Pancras.

The new funds will be used to increase production, expand distribution, and grow Misfits’ presence across India.

Aditya Pai, Co-founder, Misfits shared, “We are thrilled to partner with investors who share our vision of revolutionizing India’s beverage landscape. This funding validates our mission to provide consumers with a guilt-free alternative to sugar-loaded sodas while supporting gut health through innovative prebiotic formulation.”

Yash Pai, Co-founder, Misfits added, “The investment will enable us to scale our operations and introduce new flavors while maintaining our commitment to clean-label ingredients and functional benefits. We’re excited to build a brand that resonates with health-conscious consumers across India.”

“Misfits represents exactly the kind of innovative brand that can transform traditional categories,” said Venk Krishnan, Founder of Nu Ventures.

Misfits, founded by brothers Aditya and Yash Pai, has made a mark in India’s beverage market with the country’s first prebiotic soda. Their drinks mix bold flavors with gut-friendly benefits.

The company’s main drinks are low-calorie, sugar-free, and promoted as healthier alternatives to regular sodas.

Misfits also follows a clean-label approach, sharing third-party lab reports so customers can make informed choices and trust their functional beverages.
