MyGate Raises $23.6 Mn in Round from Dharana Capital

Community management and security startup myGate has raised ₹225 crore (about US$23.6 million) in a new funding round from Dharana Capital. The company will use the investment to expand its presence across India and offer more services to its users.

The startup also plans to invest heavily in improving its platform, making it more reliable, user-friendly, and feature-rich for residents and housing societies.

As part of these upgrades, myGate will introduce new features, including a household calendar for payments, helping users manage bills and other community-related expenses more easily.

“We are looking to capitalise on our strength and expand MyGate rapidly from nearly 5.7 Mn homes to 10 Mn homes, by accelerating sign ups across communities in India,” co-founder and chief executive Abhishek Kumar said.

"Over the last four years, we have taken a conscious call to growth sustainably and build a profitable enterprise after spending the initial few years in the distribution phase of the company and establishing product market fit,” Kumar said. He added that the company has grown about 34-35% in operating revenue through FY26 and has a strong trajectory to profitability.

“We believe that urban India’s move towards gated communities is an irreversible trend and Mygate provides an essential platform to power these ecosystems,” Dharana’s founder and managing partner Vamsi Duvvuri said.

Founded in 2016 by Abhishek Kumar, Vijay Arisetty and Shreyans Daga, myGate is a technology platform that helps manage daily activities in gated residential communities. Today, it serves more than 27,000 housing societies and over 5.7 million households across India.

The platform provides services for security, financial and accounting management, and resident engagement. It helps residents, society management committees, and service providers communicate and work together more smoothly while improving transparency and efficiency.

What started as a visitor management app has now grown into a larger community platform. In addition to security features, myGate now offers services such as local business discovery, maintenance bill payments and a marketplace where residents can buy and sell used items.
