Through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) inked at the NATAS Travel Fair 2024, NTUC LearningHub (NTUC LHUB) and the National Association of Travel Agents Singapore (NATAS) have formally committed to provide professionals in the travel sector with developing skills and capacities.

Through the combination of NATAS’ robust network of member travel agencies in Singapore and NTUC LHUB’s experience in providing contextualized training for the workforce, the MoU will assist travel agents in adjusting to changing market demands and creating a more resilient and dynamic travel sector.

Under a three-year strategic relationship, NTUC LHUB and NATAS will co-develop the Certified Travel Professional (CTP) program, a first-of-its-kind certification program in Singapore’s travel industry.

Through the provision of knowledge and skills crucial for success in a dynamic and competitive market, the CTP program aims to assist both seasoned professionals and newcomers to the travel industry in expanding their work options.

A wide range of individuals are served by the CTP program, including aspiring travel consultants, seasoned agents pursuing certification, people trying to change careers, and those wishing to focus on particular specializations like corporate travel management or eco-tourism. With major emphasis on sales and marketing strategies, sustainability, emerging technologies, wellness, and service experience excellence, the CTP program offers a structured curriculum that combines core modules, general electives, and specialized electives.
