OKX Raises Fresh Funding at $25 Billion Valuation

OKX has raised funding at a $25 billion valuation. This round brings in partners including Circle, Ripple and SC Ventures from Standard Chartered. A new investor, Qube Research & Technologies (QRT) also joined the funding.

OKX did not disclose the amount of money raised. The latest funding follows a round in March, when Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) the parent of the New York Stock Exchange invested about $200 million into OKX at the same valuation.

OKX Expands Into Stocks

The funding comes as OKX continues expanding into financial markets. OKX and ICE are launching a venture called OKX ICE. This venture will trade shares of 63 U.S. Listed companies under the SEC’s innovation exemption rules. Companies like Nvidia, Apple and Coca-Cola are expected to be part of this stock offering.

OKX founder and CEO Star said the investment is not about raising money fast. It is about bringing in partners who align with the company’s vision. OKX said the new investors fit well with its plans in stablecoins, payments, institutional markets and financial infrastructure.

The funding also supports OKX’s move, beyond cryptocurrency trading. The company is expanding into stablecoins and tokenized assets.
