Paar Autonomy Closes $1.1 Mn to Scale AI Camera Production and GPS-Independent Drone Navigation
Oct 26, 2026 | By Nguyen Minh

Bengaluru-based defence technology startup Paar Autonomy has Closes Rs 10 crore (approximately $1.1 million) in a funding round led by AdvantEdge Founders. The company develops AI-powered camera systems and software for drones and other unmanned vehicles.
The fresh funding will help Paar Autonomy expand production of its camera systems and advance technology that enables unmanned vehicles to navigate without depending on GPS signals. The investment comes as the startup looks to expand its capabilities for defence and other applications that require reliable sensing and navigation in challenging environments.
Funding Details
Paar Autonomy's latest Rs 10 crore funding round was led by AdvantEdge Founders. In September 2025, the startup raised Rs 3.5 crore in a pre-seed round led by Venture Catalysts.
The earlier investment supported the establishment of its first manufacturing line, delivery of pilot units to defence and public-sector customers, and expansion of its engineering and business development teams.
With the latest round, Paar Autonomy has raised at least Rs 13.5 crore across its two disclosed funding rounds. This total excludes an earlier angel investment for which the amount was not disclosed.
How Will Paar Autonomy Use the Funding?
The company will use the new capital to increase the production of its AI-powered camera systems and develop GPS-independent navigation technology.
GPS-independent navigation is important for unmanned vehicles operating in environments where satellite signals may be weak, disrupted or deliberately jammed. Paar Autonomy is developing technology that combines camera-based perception and sensor data to help these platforms understand their surroundings and support navigation when GPS is unavailable.
The company is also working to reduce its dependence on imported components and specialised systems. These efforts could support the development of locally produced defence technology and strengthen its manufacturing capabilities.
About Paar Autonomy

Founded by robotics engineer Vignesh Sivaram Jayaraman in June 2024, Paar Autonomy develops camera systems, sensors and AI software for unmanned aerial vehicles, ground robots and maritime platforms.
Its technology combines multi-sensor, gyro-stabilised gimbal cameras with AI software that helps unmanned systems identify objects, interpret their environment and support situational awareness and target tracking.
Market Opportunity and Growth Plans
Paar Autonomy operates at the intersection of defence technology, robotics and autonomous systems. As the use of unmanned platforms expands, reliable cameras, sensors and navigation software are becoming increasingly important for operations in complex environments.
GPS disruption remains a challenge for drones and other unmanned vehicles, particularly in defence settings. Camera-based perception and visual-inertial navigation can help these systems interpret their surroundings when satellite navigation is unreliable, although performance depends on operating conditions and system capabilities.
