Paymentology Launches Apple Pay for GoTyme Bank’s 10 Million Customers in the Philippines

Paymentology, a global payment processing company, has successfully launched Apple Pay for GoTyme Bank in the Philippines. This makes GoTyme one of the first banks in the country to offer Apple Pay, giving its 10 million customers a simple, secure, and convenient way to make payments using Apple devices.

SUMMARY

  • Paymentology has launched Apple Pay for GoTyme Bank in the Philippines.
  • GoTyme becomes one of the first Philippine banks to offer Apple Pay.
  • Around 10 million customers can now add their GoTyme debit cards to Apple Wallet.

GoTyme customers can now add their debit cards to Apple Wallet and use Apple Pay to make contactless payments in stores, apps, and online wherever Apple Pay is accepted.

Apple Pay also provides strong security through tokenisation technology. Card numbers are not stored on the device or shared with merchants. Instead, Apple Pay uses a unique Device Account Number, while payments are protected with Face ID, Touch ID, or a device passcode. This allows customers to make payments quickly while keeping their card information secure.

Nate Clark, President and CEO at GoTyme Bank commented: "At GoTyme Bank, we're constantly looking for ways to make banking simpler, safer and more rewarding for our customers. Bringing Apple Pay to GoTyme Bank customers in the Philippines gives them an easy and secure way to pay wherever they shop while continuing to earn rewards points on all their transactions. This is another step in our commitment to making everyday banking more beautiful and convenient for our customers.

Minh-Ha Truong, Head of Growth, APAC at Paymentology, added: "As a long-standing partner to GoTyme, we're proud to support another significant milestone in its growth journey. Bringing Apple Pay to market demonstrates how modern, cloud-native issuer processing enables digital banks to rapidly deliver innovative payment experiences while maintaining the highest standards of security, scalability and performance. Together, we're helping shape the future of digital payments in the Philippines."

The Apple Pay launch further strengthens GoTyme’s position as one of Southeast Asia’s leading digital banks. It also gives customers a faster and more convenient way to make digital payments.

The launch also shows how Paymentology’s cloud-based payment platform helps banks and fintech companies quickly introduce new payment services. This allows them to keep up with changing customer needs and expectations.
