Phocas Software Gets Investment from Accel-KKR to Boost BI and FP&A Growth

Phocas Software, a company that provides Business Intelligence (BI) and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) tools for mid-sized businesses, has partnered with Accel-KKR, an investment firm that focuses on technology companies.

Accel-KKR has made a majority investment in Phocas Software, giving it a larger ownership stake in the company. The financial details of the deal have not been shared.

Phocas is built for manufacturing, distribution, and retail companies. It connects with industry ERPs and combines all business data into one platform, helping teams quickly get accurate insights for planning, analysis, and decision-making.

In 2024, BARC’s Planning Survey named Phocas a global leader in product innovation for both Business Intelligence (BI) and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) in the middle-market segment.

With the new investment from Accel-KKR, Phocas plans to grow faster in global markets. The company will focus on improving its products and strengthening its customer support and partner service teams.

Phocas is also working on new product innovations, including built-in AI features designed to solve the specific challenges faced by its customers.

Myles Glashier, co-founder and CEO of Phocas, said, “Accel-KKR’s support gives us the resources and expertise to deliver even greater value to mid-market companies, helping them use data more effectively to drive growth. It’s an exciting next chapter as we fast-track our plans and build on the trust we’ve earned with our customers.”

Dean Jacobson, Managing Director at Accel-KKR, said, “Middle-market businesses, like their larger peers, are seeking more efficient ways to work and Phocas’ purpose-built software platform provides them with new levels of visibility and control. Importantly, Phocas delivers mission-critical software with pre-built workflows tailored to the unique needs of different functional groups across key verticals. We are thrilled to partner with Myles Glashier and the Phocas team at this key point in the company’s growth.”

Phocas helps more than 2,800 businesses around the world every day to understand their data and plan better together. The company’s technology is made for mid-sized manufacturers, distributors, and retailers, helping them use data easily for analytics, rebates, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reports.

Phocas offers an all-in-one platform for business intelligence (BI) and financial planning, giving everyone quick access to the information they need. The company’s goal is to make people feel confident and comfortable using data.

Certified as a B Corp in 2022, Phocas is based in Sydney and has offices in Melbourne, Costa Mesa, Reno, Coventry, and Christchurch.
