Quanfluence Secures $10 Mn to Build Full-Stack Photonic Quantum Computer

Bengaluru-based quantum computing startup Quanfluence has Secures $10 Mn (around ninety-two crore rupees) in a funding round led by Chiratae Ventures. Rainmatter by Zerodha and existing investor Pi Ventures also participated in the round.

The company will use the capital to develop its full-stack photonic quantum computing system combining photonic chips, control electronics and software into a single architecture.

Quanfluence’s Quantum Computing Technology

The IIT Madras-incubated startup uses light-based computing through its Ising machine. The system is designed to handle optimisation problems such as logistics, workforce scheduling, financial risk management and delivery route planning.

Quanfluence has already commercialised its Ising machine. It sells systems to customers and also provides remote access through a usage-based model. The company has sold around three machines. Is running paid pilots with 10 to 15 corporations.

How Will Quanfluence Use the Funding?

How Will Quanfluence Use the Funding

The fresh funding will support the development of Quanfluence’s stack photonic quantum computing platform.

The company plans to develop and launch a four-qubit quantum computer in the term. It is targeting processors by 2027 followed by larger and more scalable quantum machines with a prototype of around 100 qubits targeted by 2029.

The startup is also working to integrate its chips, electronic systems and software while scaling the manufacturing of its hardware.

Previous Funding and Investors

Before this round Quanfluence raised two million dollars in seed funding in December 2024 led by Pi Ventures with participation from investors.

Since then the startup has. Fabricated multiple photonic integrated circuits and electronic integrated circuits. It has also developed low-loss chip-to-fibre coupling technology. Demonstrated the generation of quantum light states.

Quanfluence Company Background

Quanfluence Company Background

Quanfluence was founded in 2021 by Sujoy Chakravarty, Ravi Mehta, Biman Chattopadhyay, Aditi Vaidya, Anil Prabhakar and Sandeep Goyal.

The company is building quantum computing systems that can be used for complex optimisation and decision-making applications. Its technology combines optics, electronics and software. Is designed to reduce some of the infrastructure challenges associated with conventional quantum computing approaches.

The startup currently has around 25 employees. Plans to expand its workforce to about 40 employees over the next year.

What’s Next for Quanfluence?

Quanfluence will focus on developing its term four-qubit system while continuing work on larger quantum processors.

The company aims to move from its existing optical Ising machine toward a scalable universal quantum computer. Its longer-term goal is to develop more capable photonic quantum systems, for commercial applications.
