Atlanture Sports, a sports startup started by TV personality Rannvijay Singha and entrepreneur Shubham Choudhary, has raised INR 21.02 crore in funding. The investment came from Hindustan Media Ventures Ltd (HMVL), which is part of the HT Group.
The deal was done through HT AdVentures, the HT Group’s investment arm. It began with a INR 10.5 crore investment last week, and the remaining amount will be added in stages.
Atlanture Sports, which is growing in India and the UAE, wants to change the sports industry by using new ideas, creating strong sports brands (IP), and following global strategies.
Atlanture Sports stated that securing investment from HMVL is a significant boost for its primary project, the Real Kabaddi League, which is rapidly growing into one of India’s most exciting local sports platforms.
The funding will also help the company grow by supporting new content, organising global events, and fostering stronger connections with young and local talent.
Season 4 of the Real Kabaddi League is set to begin soon, with player trials taking place in over 10 states across India. For the first time, the league also plans to hold an international event in Dubai.
With more fans, famous people joining in, and strong local support, the Real Kabaddi League (RKL) is set to become a worldwide promoter of traditional Indian sports.
“We are thrilled to welcome Hindustan Media Ventures as a strategic partner. This investment is a powerful endorsement of our long-term vision to build a modern sports ecosystem rooted in Indian identity. It will allow us to scale our operations, strengthen our media presence, and deliver global-standard experiences across all verticals,” said Shubham Choudhary, CEO of Atlanture Sports.
“This partnership is more than financial — it’s a shared belief in the untapped power of homegrown sports,” said Rannvijay Singha, who has used his celebrity following to bring visibility to the league. He said the alliance with HT Media will allow the company to extend Indian sporting formats to global audiences.
Anirudh Singhal, Head of HT AdVentures, said, “Atlanture Sports combines sharp execution with a strong grassroots vision — making them a standout player in India’s evolving sports and entertainment space. We are excited to be part of their journey and believe they are well-positioned for accelerated growth.”
Atlanture Sports is best known for its main event, the Real Kabaddi League (RKL). The company also organises international leagues and major events and is expanding a network of multi-sport ‘Pay & Play’ arenas where people can participate in various sports.
Atlanture Spocomprehensivers provides comprehensive services for events, supporting athletes in sports and covering all aspects of the sports industry. They also provide certified courses to train and help develop future sports professionals.
