Rently Secures $12 Mn Credit Facility from January Capital to Expand Rental Payment Services
Oct 28, 2026 | By Nguyen Minh

Singapore-based proptech startup Rently has secured a $12 million growth credit facility from January Capital to expand its rental payment services across Singapore, Hong Kong, the UAE and new markets. The funding will help the company finance more rental transactions, acquire customers and strengthen its existing services.
Founded by Tarik Stafford, Dominic Schacher, Siebren Khamphorst and Emeric Martin, Rently operates a rental payment platform that gives tenants more flexibility in managing their rent. Its services allow tenants to delay payments, earn rewards on rent and reduce upfront moving costs. In the UAE, its Rent Now Pay Later service enables tenants to pay rent monthly while landlords receive scheduled payments.
Rently Reports Growth Across Three Markets
Rently operates in Singapore, Hong Kong and the UAE, offering rental payment solutions tailored to each market. According to the company, its annualised rental transaction volume has exceeded $50 million, with more than 2,400 tenants using its platform.
The company reported that its rental transaction volume during the first nine months of 2026 was nearly three times the level recorded during the same period in 2025. Its growth credit facility will support further expansion and help the platform serve more tenants and property partners.
Rently Expands Its Rental Payment Services in the UAE
In the UAE, many tenants traditionally pay rent in one to four cheques covering a substantial part of the year. Rently's Rent Now Pay Later service allows tenants to make monthly payments while landlords continue to receive structured payouts.
The company has processed more than AED 100 million in rental contracts in the UAE, with transaction volume increasing more than fivefold year-on-year, according to its announcement. Rently works with real estate agencies, co-living operators and property managers in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Rently Strengthens Its Services in Singapore
In Singapore, Rently offers three main services: rewards on rent payments, flexible payment schedules and lower upfront moving costs.
Through its rewards offering, tenants can earn Max Miles on rent payments made by credit card or eGIRO bank deduction. The miles can be converted into participating airline and hotel loyalty programmes. The company also allows eligible tenants to spread certain upfront rental costs across their lease.
According to Rently, rental transactions processed through its platform in Singapore reached SGD 36.3 million, equivalent to approximately $28.4 million, during the first nine months of 2026. This was 2.5 times the volume recorded during the same period in 2025.
Funding to Support Expansion and Product Development
The $12 million credit facility from January Capital will provide Rently with additional capital to finance rental transactions and expand its services across existing and new markets. The company also plans to use its equity funding for product development, technology investments and geographic expansion.
Jason Edwards, Partner for Growth Credit at January Capital, said the investment reflects the firm's focus on supporting high-growth companies in the Asia-Pacific region through flexible, non-dilutive credit solutions.
Previous Funding
Before securing the latest credit facility, Rently raised $3 million in Pre-Series A funding. Its previous investors include Hustle Fund, 5I Ventures, Woh Hup, Orvel, Orange Bloom and Feedback Ventures.
Shiv Mahajan, CEO of Rently, said the company's ambition is to triple the number of tenants it serves over the next 12 months and become a leading rental payment platform in each market where it operates.
