RocketDNA Secures US$1.44Mn to Expand Drone-in-a-Box Hardware Rollout

Australian drone technology company RocketDNA (ASX: RKT) has raised US$1.44 (2.23 million dollars) with a strategic placement. This money will help launch the xBot drone-in-a-box hardware and boost RocketDNA technology strength.

RocketDNA will issue 103.5 million shares at 0.0215 Australian dollars each. This price is 2.4% higher than the closing price of 0.021 Australian dollars. The price matches RocketDNAs 10‑day and 15‑day prices.

Daniel Narayan Increases His Stake

Daniel Narayan led the placement through Sadietilly Capital Pty Ltd. After the deal Narayan will own 19.5% of RocketDNA shares.

The rest of the money came from a mix of existing sophisticated and professional investors.

RocketDNA CEO and Managing Director Christopher Clark said the placement makes RocketDNA’s balance sheet stronger while the company deploys xBot hardware and fulfils its existing orders.

He also said RocketDNA is seeing use of its products and customers want more software features and connections.

How RocketDNA Will Use the Funding

The new money will help RocketDNA in areas including:

  • Building and deploying xBot drone-in-a-box hardware
  • Software engineering and product development
  • Cyber-security accreditation
  • Working capital requirements

RocketDNA is building a drones‑as‑infrastructure model. In this model its automated drone systems can do monitoring, inspection and security work for industrial clients.

BHP Contract Supports Growth Pipeline

The fundraising happens while RocketDNA keeps working on its customer orders.

In August 2026 RocketDNA won a contract extension about 1 million Australian dollars with BHP’s coal joint venture BMA. The deal keeps RocketDNA’s drone work for BMA until October 2026.

RocketDNA sells SurveyBot, InspectBot and PatrolBot. These machines are used for surveying, inspection and security tasks in Australia, Africa, Europe and North America.

RocketDNA also has beyond‑visual‑line‑of‑sight accreditation in places letting it run drone services at large scale.

RocketDNA’s Recurring Revenue

RocketDNA earned 615,000 dollars in monthly recurring revenue in its June 2026 quarterly update as stated by the company.

RocketDNA wants to use more of its drone systems and grow its hardware and software. Turning its orders into deployed xBot systems will be key, to the next growth step.
