Salesforce has announced that it is buying Doti, a young Israeli startup that only came out of stealth earlier this year. The deal is estimated to be worth around $100 million.
Doti has raised only $7 million so far through a pre-seed round and a seed round, which was led by F2 Venture Capital along with several private investors.
The acquisition is meant to boost Salesforce’s AI research and development center in Israel. It will also help the company speed up the creation of AI-powered search and knowledge tools for its business customers.
This sale is a big win for Doti, as the company had raised only $7 million before being acquired.
Doti AI was founded in 2024 by Matan Cohen (CEO) and Opher Hofshi (Chief Product Officer). Before starting the company, they worked together at Wix, where they led teams focused on software development and security.
Doti AI is building what it calls an “Organizational Brain.” This is a secure, unified internal database that connects to all of a company’s systems and information — whether the data is structured or unstructured.
The platform helps employees get instant answers, insights, and useful suggestions directly inside the tools they already use, like Slack or their web browser, while ensuring strong privacy and security protections.
The company’s $7 million Seed round was led by F2 Venture Capital, with additional investment from well-known angel investors such as Jared Kasner, General Partner at Ineffable Ventures, and Guy Flechter, serial entrepreneur and CEO of Sola Security.
The skills and experience of the Doti AI team will help Salesforce improve its enterprise search system, building a unified “Agentic Search Layer” across the entire platform.
“Doti’s expertise fast-tracks our vision to reinvent enterprise search across Salesforce,” said Denise Dresser, CEO of Slack. “Together, we’re transforming how every employee finds, understands, and acts on information, through the power of AI and most importantly the conversational context that lives in Slack.”
“Since day one, our mission has been to transform how knowledge workers interact with information, making enterprise data instantly accessible and actionable,” said Matan Cohen, Co-Founder and CEO of Doti. “Joining Salesforce and its AI R&D hub in Israel gives us the global scale and resources to realize this vision faster. We are incredibly excited to build the future of agentic work alongside the Slack team at Salesforce.”
