Saudi Climate Tech Startup Remedium Raises $1.5 Mn to Expand Sustainability Platform

The funding round was led by Kaltaire Investments.

Remedium plans to expand its sustainability accounting platform by adding new tools for tracking water, waste, and energy use.

These new tools will include key performance indicators (KPIs) and document templates. This will help companies collect and understand more environmental and business data.

The startup also plans to expand its computing infrastructure in Saudi Arabia to support its growing operations.

Remedium wants to make sure that customer data is securely stored inside Saudi Arabia. This supports the company’s focus on data sovereignty and local data protection.

“The need for sustainability accounting is more relevant than ever,” said Fawaz Abu-Ghazaleh, CEO of Remedium, pointing to the increasing prominence of sustainability in corporate decision-making, public-private partnerships and consumer behaviour.

Founded in 2021 by Fawaz Abu-Ghazaleh, Remedium builds technology for carbon management and sustainability reporting. Its platform helps businesses measure, manage, and reduce their carbon footprint using digital tools, automation, and data.

The company will use the new funding to improve its AI and machine learning technology. This includes tools for predicting risks, forecasting, and automatically creating documents. Remedium also plans to improve its Climate Intelligence platform with more data analysis and useful insights about environmental information.
