SUMMARY

  • Oppex AI, a Bengaluru-based startup, has raised Rs 4.2 crore (US$442K) in pre-seed funding from InfoEdge Ventures.
  • The company is building an AI-powered platform for production operations.
  • The funding will be used for product development, hiring, and customer expansion.

Oppex AI is building an AI-powered platform for production operations. Its technology is designed to help businesses manage and improve their production processes.

The company will use the new funding to develop its product, grow its team, and expand its work with customers.

“AI has fundamentally changed the economics and speed of software development. The next bottleneck is what happens after the code is shipped. Engineers are still spending significant amounts of time bringing together context from multiple systems, investigating incidents and coordinating response. We believe production operations are ready for the same AI-led transformation that software development is experiencing,” said Prasun Kumar, CEO & Co-Founder, Oppex AI.

“Every engineering organisation is now shipping more code than its operations layer was designed to absorb. Incident volume is rising while experienced SREs are burning out and leaving, and hiring alone cannot close that gap. Oppex is attacking the right layer: unifying context across observability, infrastructure and code, then acting on it. Prasun and the team bring deep production handling experience, and the timing for an AI-native development operations layer is now” said Chinmaya Sharma, Partner at Infoedge Ventures.

Bengaluru-based Oppex AI is building an AI-powered platform to help companies manage their production operations. Its platform connects information from different business and technology systems.

It collects data from monitoring tools, customer support, cloud systems, internal guides, and other company software. The platform uses this information to understand production issues and automatically help respond to incidents.

Oppex AI deployed its product just eight months after writing its first line of code. The platform is already being used by several companies, with customers across India, the UK, Europe, and the US.
