Saudi edtech company Noon Academy has acquired Almakhfi, a digital platform that helps students prepare for the Qudurat and Tahsili exams.
The acquisition is aimed at strengthening Noon Academy's AI-powered learning platform and expanding its services for students across Saudi Arabia.
The deal comes shortly after Noon Academy raised SAR 153 million ($40.8 million) in a Series B funding round led by Wa'ed Ventures and Raed Ventures.
Founded in 2013 by Mohammed Aldhalaan and Abdulaziz AlSaeed, Noon Academy offers live online classes, AI-powered learning tools, and courses in school subjects, English, programming, robotics, and drone technology.
Almakhfi was founded eight years ago and has helped more than 250,000 students prepare for Saudi national exams through digital learning content and exam preparation tools.
The platform has become one of the leading online providers for Qudurat and Tahsili exam preparation.
By acquiring Almakhfi, Noon Academy plans to add its exam preparation content to its platform, giving students more personalized learning experiences with the help of AI and better access to quality educational resources.
The acquisition also shows the growing trend of consolidation in Saudi Arabia's edtech sector as companies combine specialized learning platforms with AI technology to improve education and strengthen their market position.
