Trident Digital Tech Holdings Limited a Singapore-based company that specializes in digital system, technological optimization and web 3.0 activation firm. This week they have announced progress in its first PPP (PPP) together with Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
This follows a series of events throughout the country as part of the recent trip of a delegation led by Soon Huat Lim, Founder and Chairman of the Board, as well as Chief Executive Chief Executive Officer of Trident showing the transformative possibilities of its digital ID tech, Trident said in a statement.
As validation efforts are underway, Trident and the DRC government are preparing to roll out a safe, inclusive digital identification system which will provide new possibilities for Congolese citizens. The system will deliver substantial benefits, including creation of more than thirty thousand direct and indirect job opportunities in cybersecurity, digital technology administration, as well as service provision. 40% growth in inclusion of financial services that will enable millions of people to use online banking services as well as digital ones; 50 percent decrease in administrative delays to increase effectiveness and accessibility for public service; the stimulation of economic growth by facilitating international trade and investment and, better public protection and social services through secure digital identification for education, healthcare as well as social assistance.
On the 15th of March an important event occurred at Kinshasa when H.E. Augustin Kibassa Maliba, DRC Minister of Posts, Telecommunications, and Digital Technology started the process of validation for the partnership.
In the ceremony, Minister Kibassa explained the government’s commitment to propelling the initiative forward, which includes embedding technology into both private and public services and launching a national awareness and training program. Also, improving technology infrastructure by implementing secure cloud infrastructure and sovereign cloud services, data centers, and encouraging local innovation by helping startups and digital stakeholder to build a stronger digital ecosystem.
Lim attended event and spoke about the revolutionary capabilities of this secure digital identification solution.
“This initiative will transform all sectors of our economy by reducing identity fraud and cybercrime to protect our digital future, revolutionizing public administration through less bureaucracy and greater transparency, accelerating financial inclusion by providing millions of unbanked citizens access to banking services and digital payments, facilitating student identification, online learning, and academic verification in education, and enabling better healthcare access with secure medical records,”

The Minister Kibassa highlighted the project’s significant importance.
It was noted by the president that it comes as a significant step towards improving governance, inclusion and transparency, which serves as the foundation of the economic revolution under the leadership of his Highness president Felix Tshisekedi and Her Excellency the Prime Vice-Minister Judith Suminwa.
