
Startup Grind Qatar, the local chapter of the global startup community, held its Qatar Tech Startup Community Awards Programme, designed to honour the remarkable achievements of individuals and startups, driving innovation and growth in Qatar’s tech ecosystem.

This inaugural edition of the awards programme was supported by Arisio.io, a startup collaboration and data platform.

Focused on celebrating community success, this initiative aimed at bringing visibility to the efforts of those who contribute to building a thriving entrepreneurial landscape. “Community is at the heart of everything we do at Startup Grind Qatar,” said SGQ Chapter Director. “These awards are not just about recognising excellence; they’re about showcasing the power of collaboration and the spirit of innovation in our local ecosystem.”
HE Sheikh Mansoor Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Chairman of MBK Holdings, attending the Qatar Tech Startup Community Awards as a Guest of Honour, shared his views on the value of community. He emphasized that one of the most important elements of building a successful ecosystem is its people, and for this reason, community plays a critical role in any country.
The Qatar Tech Startup Community Awards categories featured diverse categories to ensure that contributions across various fields were acknowledged: –

- Mentor of the Year: Marcel Dridje
- Startup trainer of the year: Emad Saif
- Idea stage startup of the year: Tatami
- Growth stage startup of the year: SkipCash
- Tech disruptor of the Year: Tenn.Ai
- Most value-added investor: Qatar Development Bank
- Female founder of the Year: Reema Al Kuwari
- Breakthrough startup of the year: Wqtah
Over 150 nominations were received by the community for this inaugural year of the Community Awards. The awards ceremony was held on the 13th of January at Workinton, epitomising the community aspect of this initiative amidst a large gathering of the startup community in Qatar. The ceremony also acknowledged the Partners and Sponsors of Startup Grind Qatar, who have been supporting this community initiative.
