Mumbai, India-based Health food brand The Whole Truth has secured $15 million in a funding round led by Belgian investment fund Sofina with participation from existing investors including Z47 (formerly Matrix Partners India), Peak XV Partners, and Sauce.VC.

The funds will be used to increase in-house manufacturing capabilities, hire new personnel, and drive category growth.Healthy snack firms have seen increased investor interest and expansion, fueled by an increasing number of health-conscious consumers and aided by social media influencers.

Commenting on the investment, Vikram Vaidyanathan, managing director, Z47, said, “Shashank and the team at The Whole Truth are not just building a brand—they’re leading a movement to restore trust in food; and making food real again. The Whole Truth (TWT) was founded in 2019 by an ex-Unilever marketeer, Shashank Mehta. It sells protein powders, chocolates, protein bars, peanut butter, and muesli.
