Saudi DeepTech Startup Think Lands $8 Mn+

Think a Saudi-based company creating next-generation AI hardware and software infrastructure has raised more than $8 million in pre-seed funding. This is the biggest early-stage AI infrastructure and deeptech investment round in the MENA region so far.

SUMMARY

  • Think raised $8M+ in pre-seed funding to expand its AI infrastructure business.
  • The company develops cost-effective AI hardware and software for businesses.
  • The funding will support growth, product development, and global expansion.

The funding round was led by RAED Ventures and Wa’ed Ventures with support from Dhahran Techno Valley’s Venture Capital arm and several strategic angel investors. Think will use this investment to grow its team, expand manufacturing, improve its products and enter new international markets. The company is currently growing quickly in Saudi Arabia and plans to expand across the GCC and other global markets.

Think is making AI easier and more affordable for businesses by reducing the cost and complexity of AI infrastructure. Its hardware and software help companies run AI models faster more securely and with better efficiency.

Thinks platform improves GPU usage, lowers AI costs and works with existing hardware without requiring special chips. The company is helping build secure and efficient AI infrastructure across Saudi Arabia and the GCC.

Investors believe Think is solving key AI challenges by improving performance and giving businesses more control. With its new funding Think plans to expand across the region and further develop its ILM software platform.

"As the industry moves beyond the race for bigger models and larger data centres, a new age of efficiency is beginning," said CEO Ahmed AlSharif. "AI infrastructure today is expensive, inefficient, and increasingly difficult to scale. Think exists to help organisations do more with the compute they already have, offering an alternative to the industry's current obsession with bigger, faster and more expensive."

"Our customers want the benefits of AI without the spiralling costs, security concerns, and dependence associated with hyperscale cloud providers," said Ammar Enaya, co-founder of Think. "We're seeing strong demand from enterprises, start-ups and government organisations looking for infrastructure that delivers the performance they need, with an approach that gives them total control and ownership."

Eng. Anas Algahtani, CEO, Wa'ed Ventures: "Saudi Arabia has a unique opportunity not only to adopt AI, but to build the infrastructure that powers it. Think is resolving one of the industry's biggest challenges by making AI deployment more efficient, scalable and sovereign, and we're proud to support its next stage of growth."
