Vynn Capital and DHL Express Renew Partnership to Support Malaysia’s Startups and SMEs

Malaysia-based venture capital firm Vynn Capital has renewed its partnership with DHL Express, the global delivery company, to help local small and medium-sized businesses grow by improving their visibility and reach.

Vynn Capital said on Tuesday that, under a new agreement, both companies will work together to help local businesses grow. They will use Vynn Capital’s experience in supporting startups and DHL Express’s shipping services to do this.

They are already working on projects like events for small businesses where they can learn new skills and get chances to grow and succeed.

The agreement also makes sure that these companies can share ideas and learn from each other through networking events.

“SMEs remain the backbone of economies worldwide. The ecosystem grows with the readiness of larger companies in bridging the resource and knowledge gap,

“Amidst an increasingly globalized landscape, expanding internationally is key to ensuring business resilience and sustainability,” said Victor Chua, Founding and Managing Partner of Vynn Capital.

“We look forward to working closer with DHL Express to empower Malaysia’s burgeoning entrepreneur community,” he added.

The new deal continues the work started by the GoTrade program, which DHL Group began in 2020 to help small businesses grow by exporting their products.

Vynn Capital was one of the first partners in Malaysia to support small businesses, helping them with things like funding, branding, and selling products online as they grow globally.

Because Vynn Capital has a lot of experience helping successful startups in supply chain and mobility, it is ready to keep helping small businesses grow and improve.

“This collaboration marks a significant step forward in our collective mission to help SMEs take their products and services to the world,” said Julian Neo, Managing Director of DHL Express Malaysia and Brunei.

“By bringing together Vynn Capital’s know-how in growing businesses and our experience in trade, we can help companies succeed in new international markets,”

“Together, we can unlock the full potential of small businesses in Malaysia and contribute towards greater economic prosperity for the country,” he added.

Vynn Capital is a venture capital firm that helps early-stage companies grow by using technology to connect old industries with new business ideas.

The company invests by focusing on how its portfolio companies can work well together with other businesses in its network to create more value.

Besides investing, Vynn Capital helps its partners learn about new industries and markets using its local team and connections in big cities across Southeast Asia.

DHL is a company within the DHL Group. In 2024, the group made about 84.2 billion euros (or $96.15 billion) in revenue.
