The Global-Asia Family Office (GFO) Summit opened with the Wealth Management Institute (WMI) introducing the Changemaker Impact Endeavour Fellowship “CHIEF” Program. This ground-breaking fellowship—the first of its type in Asia—aims to enable leaders of nonprofit organizations, donors, and social entrepreneurs to become more effective changemakers.

The Asia Centre for Changemakers (ACC), which was founded at WMI this year with SGD 15 million in financing committed by Temasek Trust and Philanthropy Asia Alliance to enhance philanthropic capacities, is in line with Singapore’s aim to become a major hub for philanthropy. With the goal of training 1,000 wealth owners, social innovators, and philanthropy professionals by 2028, the CHIEF program is the newest addition to ACC’s portfolio of philanthropy-focused projects.
“ACC is committed to redefining philanthropy in Asia by providing leaders with the skills and strategic insights necessary to drive meaningful impact,” said Ms. Foo Mee Har, CEO of WMI. Our goal is to create a strong network of change agents who can tackle the most critical issues facing the area. Our goal is for the CHIEF program to act as a spark for the development of a network of like-minded people who will work together to create revolutionary solutions for Asia for a lifetime.”
Over the course of a thorough seven-month program, CHIEF participants will rethink the role of capital, investigate the impact landscape, evaluate the feasibility and scalability of impact projects, and learn how different financial models could be appropriate in certain situations.
