
CDL Academy, the training and development unit of YTL Cement Group, and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) signed an MoU on 9 January 2026. The agreement aims to work together to develop talent, promote practical learning and support sustainable construction practices in Malaysia’s engineering sector.
The MoU was signed by UTM Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mohd Shafry Mohd Rahim and CDL Academy Chairman Dato’ Sr. Mohd Zaid Zakaria. This signing officially confirms the partnership between the two organisations.
The partnership aims to give students real industry exposure and hands-on experience helping prepare them for future careers in the construction sector.
Under this agreement, UTM and CDL Academy will work together on professional training programs, student internships, academic exchanges, workshops, seminars, and innovation projects.
These projects will focus on green building materials, modern construction technologies and cost management solutions to support sustainable construction practices.
