Zafran Security has secured $60 million in a new funding round led by Menlo Ventures, with additional participation from Sequoia Capital, Cyberstarts, PSP Growth, Vintage Investment Partners and Knollwood Investment. This latest round, first reported by media, brings the company’s total funding to $130 million.
The new capital will be used to accelerate product development and expand Zafran’s global operations, supporting its mission to strengthen cybersecurity capabilities for enterprises worldwide.
Menlo Ventures — also a major investor in Anthropic — highlighted Zafran’s strong potential to become a leading force in the emerging Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM) market. The firm credits Zafran’s advanced use of AI as a key driver of its competitive edge.
CEO Sanaz Yashar said that since founding the company three years ago, she has received “many acquisition offers,” all of which the company rejected. “We do not intend to sell. We still have a lot to conquer in the global market,” she said.
According to Yashar, customer interest has surged dramatically: “In the last two quarters, the number of customers approaching us to test the product has tripled, both because of the rise in threats and because of our success spreading by word of mouth.”
Reflecting on shifts in cybersecurity, Yashar added: “The walls that used to protect organizations are no longer relevant. We need to bring prevention to the next stage.”
Zafran was founded in 2022 by Yashar (CEO), Ben Seri (CTO), and Snir Havdala (CPO). The company currently employs around 120 people across Israel, the U.S., and Europe, and expects to add about 100 new hires in 2026 as it continues to scale.
Yashar was born in Tehran and immigrated to Israel as a child. He went on to spend 15 years in Unit 8200 before taking on senior leadership roles at FireEye–Mandiant.
Seri and Havdala, both highly decorated veterans of Israel’s military cyber units, bring decades of operational cybersecurity experience to Zafran.
