Zenity, a Tel Aviv-based leader in corporate copilots and low-code development, got a strategic investment from Microsoft Venture Fund M12.

Through the investment, the business is able to take advantage of Microsoft’s capabilities to quicken its growth and collaborate closely on a shared go-to-market strategy that will improve the security and profitability of shared clients.

Zenity is a platform that helps businesses protect and manage copilots and low-code/no-code development. It is led by Ben Kliger, CEO and co-founder. The agent-less platform is positioned to assist corporations in understanding their business apps and assists organisations with SOC 2 Type 2 and GDPR compliance.

Many Fortune 500 companies today utilise Zenity to help them understand what business users are developing across their low-code and copilot estate, spot security flaws in development and runtime, and assist in automatically fixing important discoveries at scale.

Ben Kliger, Zenity CEO and co-founder, stated, “We are excited to be partnering with M12 to continue our mission of helping enterprises securely unleash the use of AI copilots and low-code development. Partnering with Microsoft is a strategic move for Zenity as Microsoft’s global reach, robust technology stack, and commitment to innovation align perfectly with our vision. This investment allows us to leverage Microsoft’s resources to accelerate our growth and work closely on a joint go-to-market strategy, enhancing the security and success of our mutual customers.”

Due to this enterprise market change, most application development is outside of IT. Application development without IT involvement, SDLC, CI/CD security tooling, and traditional AppSec solutions that use code scanning to find vulnerabilities is happening. This causes Shadow Application Development to surge.
