Malaysia’s tech-enabled coffee chain ZUS Coffee has raises investment from an investor consortium comprising private equity firm KV Asia Capital, pension fund Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan) (KWAP), and Indonesian-based fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) player Kapal Api Group.
The strength of this new relationship and investment, marks the beginning of a new chapter and a launching pad for the company’s expansion. Within the next three years, the company, which has 50 locations in the Philippines, hopes to dominate the local market.
In addition, the company is actively negotiating with possible partners in other foreign markets. By 2025, it hopes to have expanded its consumer base into other regions.
With a focus on becoming an international brand, ZUS Coffee stated it is using its high brand equity and devoted client base.
