Neuron Energy Secures INR 31 Cr in Pre-Series B Funding

Neuron Energy, an EV battery maker, has raised INR 31 crore in its Pre-Series B round, led by Equanimity Ventures.

The round also included investments from Rajiv Dadlani Group, the Thackersay Family Office, the Chona Family Office, and several well-known individual investors.

The company plans to use the funds to boost its manufacturing capacity to 3 GWh, set up an automated electric four-wheeler battery facility in Chakan near Pune, strengthen its R&D efforts, and expand its presence in India and global markets.

The company is aiming for ₹200 crore in revenue this year, with future targets of ₹900 crore, as it works to strengthen its position in India’s fast-growing EV market.

Pratik Kamdar, CEO and Co-founder of Neuron Energy, said “As EV adoption accelerates, we are focused on building capacity, embedding automation, and pushing the boundaries of performance and reliability. This investment ensures we can deliver at scale, both in India and globally,” he said.

Founded in 2018 by Pratk Kamdar, Neuron Energy offers a wide range of electric mobility battery solutions. Its products include lead-acid, advanced lithium-ion, and the newer sodium-ion batteries.

The company began by focusing on batteries for electric two-wheelers, but is now expanding into battery solutions for four-wheelers and buses. Neuron Energy is placing strong emphasis on high-quality, extensively tested lithium-ion and next-generation sodium-ion technologies.

Neuron Energy raised ₹20 crore last year in its Series A round from its existing investors, Chona Family Office and Capri Global Family Office. Before that, it had also raised ₹20 crore in a pre-Series A round led by Equanimity Investments and the Rajiv Dadlani Group.

With the new Pre-Series B funding included, Neuron Energy has now raised a total of ₹80 crore so far.
