New Murabba Partners With EVIQ to strengthen sustainable EV infrastructure

New Murabba, a company owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, has signed a strategic agreement with the Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Company (EVIQ).

Under this deal, EVIQ will install, operate, and maintain EV charging stations across major locations in New Murabba’s main development project.

The partnership will help add sustainable transport solutions to the New Murabba masterplan, supporting Saudi Arabia’s sustainability goals under Vision 2030.

Under the partnership, both sides will install high-quality AC chargers at the New Murabba Headquarters. These chargers are suitable for longer parking periods, such as workplace charging.

At the same time, DC fast chargers will be set up at key locations across the development, especially in busy areas, to allow quicker charging.

AC chargers are ideal for daily use in offices and homes, providing steady charging over longer periods. DC fast chargers deliver much higher power, enabling vehicles to recharge much faster.

Together, these installations will create a reliable and easy-to-use charging network for employees, visitors and future residents. They will also support the wider shift to electric mobility across the development.

The agreement also provides a framework for future cooperation on advanced mobility solutions, ensuring that EV infrastructure grows in line with New Murabba’s phased development plans and long-term sustainability goals.

“Embedding future-ready mobility solutions is essential to New Murabba’s mission as we move from planning into delivery. Our partnership with EVIQ enables us to accelerate sustainable transport infrastructure and contribute to the Kingdom’s broader sustainability and innovation ambitions.”

Mohammad Bakr Gazzaz, Chief Executive of EVIQ, said, “This partnership reflects our shared commitment to building future-ready infrastructure that supports the Kingdom’s sustainability goals. By integrating EV charging solutions into New Murabba’s development from the outset we are enabling smarter mobility experiences while contributing to Saudi Arabia’s long-term vision for electrification, innovation and sustainable urban growth.”

Through this partnership, New Murabba aims to position itself as a modern, globally competitive downtown that focuses on sustainability, innovation, and smart urban infrastructure.

The initiative also creates opportunities for future mobility projects that support Saudi Arabia’s green goals and strengthen the country’s shift toward cleaner transport systems.
