Mawani partners with Sultan Logistics for Jeddah Port expansion

Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has signed a lease agreement with Sultan Logistics to build a $66.5 million (SAR 250 million) logistics park at Jeddah Islamic Port in Al Khumrah.

The project will cover 200000 square meters and provide modern logistics facilities for storage and reexport operations, strengthening Jeddah’s position as a key trade gateway on the Red Sea.

The development aims to improve operational efficiency, simplify cargo handling and boost supply chain integration within Saudi Arabia’s maritime sector.

According to Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani), the project supports its goals under the National Transport and Logistics Strategy, which aims to create integrated logistics parks at and beyond Saudi ports.

The main aim is to make Saudi Arabia a global logistics hub, offer high-value logistics services, promote economic diversification, and advance Vision 2030.

Mawani said the new park will encourage private sector involvement and boost its contribution to the national economy. By improving trade efficiency and increasing port competitiveness, the project is expected to strengthen Jeddah Islamic Port as a key maritime hub.

This agreement comes after a similar deal in April, when Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) and Sultan Logistics agreed to build a $53.3 million (SAR 200 million) logistics park at King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam.

The Dammam facility will cover 35,000 square meters, including warehouses, offices, a yard for dry and refrigerated containers, and a re-export zone to support efficient operations.

Together, these projects highlight Mawani’s efforts to expand logistics capacity, attract private investment, and strengthen Saudi Arabia’s global trade connections.
