Amity Solutions, an AI company based in Bangkok, has raised US$100 million in Series D funding to improve its specialized AI models.
The funding round was led by EDBI, the investment arm of SG Growth Capital. Other investors included Asia Partners, SMDV, and both existing and new backers like CMLIM Capital.
These specialized, or “vertical,” AI models are designed to handle specific tasks within certain industries, making them more focused and effective.
Korawad, who is also the executive chairman of Amity, comes from the Charoen Pokphand (CP) Group family. CP Group is one of the world’s largest companies in livestock and animal feed production.
“We believe in the potential (of) vertical AI models tailored to specific industries – delivering tangible, measurable ROI (return on investment) for customers. In parallel, agentic AI will move beyond analysis and summarisation to truly execute tasks and drive business processes,” he said.
Keng Teik Koay, Amity’s group chief executive officer, said: “This Series D marks an important step from tech startup to full growth and scale stage and provides the funding needed for expansion into new markets.”
Amity is a tech company from Southeast Asia, founded by 31-year-old Korawad Chearavanont. The company uses generative AI to build solutions for businesses and aims to compete in the global B2B market.
As part of this funding, Amity will set up and grow its AI research and development centre in Singapore. This will help the company improve its products and bring them to market more effectively.
It will also strengthen Amity’s ability to serve global business customers and support wider use of AI across different industries.
