LG Innotek Teams Up with Applied Intuition to Speed Up Entry into the Physical AI Market

LG Innotek, led by CEO Moon Hyuksoo, announced on March 29 that it has entered into a strategic partnership with Applied Intuition, a global company known for its work in physical AI and autonomous driving software.

LG Innotek wants to improve the performance and quality of its autonomous driving sensing modules through this partnership. It will use Applied Intuition’s software platform and reference vehicles to make its technology better. At the same time, Applied Intuition will use LG Innotek’s sensing modules in its vehicles and simulation tools to improve its own software.

Applied Intuition is based in the United States and is a leading company in physical AI. It develops advanced software and simulation tools for autonomous driving.

The company works with 18 of the world’s top 20 car manufacturers and uses its own test vehicles to collect real road data, helping it continuously improve its technology.

LG Innotek partnered to get real-world feedback and improve its sensing technology for autonomous driving. By working with a top software company, it aims to grow its business and offer better solutions that combine both hardware and software.

LG Innotek will install its camera sensing modules in Applied Intuition’s self-driving test vehicles. These vehicles will be used in regions like the United States, Europe, and Japan.

By running these tests, the company will gather a large amount of data on how its sensors perform in different real-world conditions, such as roads, traffic, and weather.

LG Innotek will study this data to find any weaknesses in its sensing modules and improve their performance with better technology.

“Autonomous vehicles will only scale if the hardware and software ecosystems evolve together,” said Qasar Younis, co-founder and CEO of Applied Intuition. “By working directly with LG Innotek, we’re making it easier for automakers to evaluate sensors, validate performance in simulation and on real roads and ultimately move autonomy systems from development into production.”

CEO Moon stated, “Through this collaboration with Applied Intuition, which holds world-leading software technology, we will provide customers with exceptional solutions that set a new standard in autonomous driving. This partnership will propel LG Innotek to global top-tier status in the field of mobility∙robotics sensing solutions, making it a leader of the physical AI era.”
