Ant International has announced a new step to add PayTo to its Global Account Service in Australia. This will help Australian small and medium export businesses receive payments faster, at lower cost, and in a more secure way.
The company is working with Citi, a global leader in banking. Citi will support the system to ensure it is fast, safe, and reliable.
In 2025, Australia exported goods worth $343.8 billion. However, around 80% of small businesses still face cash flow problems, mainly because cross-border payments are slow. Faster payment solutions like this can help these businesses get money quicker and support their growth.
PayTo is not just for adding money to digital wallets. It can be used in many important ways for modern business, like paying bills for SaaS companies, making instant payments for e-commerce marketplaces, and handling business-to-business (B2B) invoices more easily.
