Aumet, an AI-powered procurement platform for the healthcare industry, has raised US$12 million in a Series A funding round led by Emkan Capital.

The funding round included investments from Qatar Development Bank, SABAH VC, and AAIC. Existing investors Shorooq Partners and Right Side Capital Management also participated in the round.

“At Aumet, we are building the AI-first operating system that powers procurement decisions across the entire healthcare ecosystem — from individual pharmacies to national healthcare systems. Our ambition is to take what we’ve built in the Middle East and scale it globally,” said Yahya Aqel, CEO and Co-founder of Aumet.

Aumet offers three main products for the healthcare industry. Pulse is a cloud-based platform for individual pharmacies that helps with inventory management, online marketplace access and AI-powered purchasing automation. Chain is designed for pharmacy chains and helps manage centralized purchasing and decision-making across multiple branches.

The company also offers Enterprise, its most advanced solution for hospitals, ministries of health, and national healthcare systems. This AI-powered procurement platform helps large healthcare organizations manage purchasing and supply chain operations more efficiently.

Healthcare purchasing systems in many emerging markets still depend on old and disconnected technologies, making supply chain management difficult and inefficient.

Companies like Clarium are working to solve similar healthcare supply chain problems in the United States. Aumet aims to address these challenges in emerging markets, especially across the Middle East.

Founded in 2016 by Yahya Aqel, Adel Haddad and Shahed Jaber, Aumet is an AI-powered procurement platform for the healthcare industry. It connects pharmacies, hospitals, and suppliers through one digital system to make purchasing and supply chain management easier.

The company currently operates in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, and Oman.
