
Animoca Brands Japan, a strategic subsidiary of Animoca Brands, that it has teamed up with BONSAI NFT CLUB, the bonsai-themed NFT art initiative.
According to a statement from the two companies, Animoca Brands Japan will use its network of Company Brands to assist BONSAI NFT CLUB’s global development in the areas of marketing and token strategy.
The goal of the non-fungible token project BONSAI NFT CLUB is to create material that piques the interest of art enthusiasts worldwide by showcasing bonsai, the traditional Japanese craft of growing and styling small trees.
The unique appeal of fusing NFTs with bonsai has helped the project gain traction, and it currently boasts a community of over 1,700 members.

Through social media, particularly Instagram, the age-old craft of bonsai has garnered a lot of attention from outside the country in recent years.
The size of the global bonsai market was $8.43 billion in 2022 and is projected to grow to $24.59 billion by 2031, according to Business Research Insight.
Through their relationship, Animoca Brands Japan and the BONSAI NFT CLUB hope to further spread the appeal of bonsai around the globe by utilising Animoca Brands Japan’s knowledge and expertise as well as the community that the BONSAI NFT CLUB has built

Since its founding in 2021, Animoca Brands Japan has assisted Japanese intellectual property (IP) and content holders in the Web3 sector to expand internationally. Notable examples of these include Square Enix’s “SYMBIOGENESIS,” Dorcom Inc., and HashPalette Inc.
“BONSAI NFT CLUB will pursue the possibility of ‘Bonsai x Art market’ on an unprecedented scale through a partnership with Animoca Brands Japan, including a global token strategy, The BONSAI NFT CLUB will continue to expand its activities to bring more attention to this traditional art form: presenting Bonsai as art to the world,” said Yusuke Maji (Majisuke), representative of BONSAI NFT CLUB.
Animoca Brands Japan was established in 2021 as the strategic branch of the international Web3 corporation Animoca Brands Corporation Limited in Japan.
