BioGeometry Closes $100 Mn in Series A Funding to Advance AI Drug Discovery
Oct 29, 2026 | By Nguyen Minh

Beijing-based biotechnology startup BioGeometry has raised more than $100 million across its Series A funding rounds to develop its artificial intelligence (AI) models for drug discovery. The latest Series A+ round was led by China Life Capital, with existing investor Shanghai Biomedical Innovation and Translation Fund investing again. CDB Technology Venture Capital, Real Power Capital, Guofang Ventures, Fortune Capital and other industry investors also participated.
The company will use the funding to improve its AI models, expand its automated laboratories and advance its drug development pipeline.
AI Models for Drug Discovery
BioGeometry develops AI models designed to understand biological systems and support drug discovery. Its technology includes two models, GeoFlow and GeoCell, which focus on different areas of biology.
GeoFlow works at the molecular level, helping researchers predict molecular structures and design new molecules, including potential drug candidates. GeoCell focuses on cellular behaviour and predicts how cells respond to genetic changes and drug treatments.

Combining AI with Laboratory Experiments
BioGeometry connects its AI models with automated laboratories to test their predictions through real experiments. The system generates molecular designs, conducts laboratory tests and uses the resulting data to improve future predictions.
This process allows the company to compare computer-generated designs with experimental results and refine its models over time.
According to the company, its GeoFlow V3 model achieved an average hit rate of nearly 20% across more than 20 targets. BioGeometry also reported that the model reduced lead discovery time to less than three weeks. These figures are based on the company's own disclosures.
Funding to Support Drug Development
The new funding will support further development of GeoFlow and GeoCell, expansion of high-throughput automated laboratories and progress across BioGeometry's proprietary drug pipeline.
The company has several bispecific antibody programmes that it expects to advance to the investigational new drug (IND) stage in 2027. Reaching this stage would be an important step towards seeking permission to begin clinical trials.
BioGeometry is also developing products for synthetic biology, including alpha-ketoglutarate (AKG) and natural borneol. The company says more than five product programmes have completed pilot-scale development.
Investors See Potential in AI-Powered Biotechnology
China Life Capital said AI is becoming an important driver of scientific research and could change how life-sciences research and development is conducted. The investor highlighted BioGeometry's molecular and cellular models and its approach of combining computational predictions with laboratory experiments.
The investment reflects growing interest in AI-based biotechnology companies seeking to improve drug discovery and develop new treatments.
About BioGeometry

BioGeometry is an AI-native biotechnology company headquartered in Beijing, China, with a research and development centre in Shanghai. It develops biological AI models for molecular design and cellular analysis through its GeoFlow and GeoCell platforms.
The company combines generative AI with automated laboratory experiments to support research across antibodies, vaccines, peptides and enzyme engineering. Its goal is to use AI to improve biological research and advance its own drug development and synthetic biology programmes.
