C2i Semiconductors Raises $16.7 million in Series A Round led by Peak XV Partners

C2i Semiconductors, based in Bengaluru, has raised US$16.7 million in an extended Series A funding round led by Peak XV Partners.

The company said the new funding will help it expand its operations and speed up product development.

Earlier in February, the startup had raised $15 million in the first part of its Series A round. That round was also led by Peak XV Partners, with participation from Yali Deeptech and TDK Ventures.

Earlier, in November 2024, it had also raised $4 million from deeptech venture fund Yali Capital.

Founded in June 2024 by Ram Anant, Vikram Gakhar, Preetam Tadeparthy, Dattatreya Suryanarayana, Harsha S B and Muthusubramanian N V, C2i Semiconductors is a semiconductor startup that builds power management solutions for AI data centers and cloud systems.

The company focuses on improving how power is delivered from the electricity grid to computer processors, making systems more efficient and reliable.

It has developed its own proprietary technology used across its products. This includes the Manas Controller, a software-based system that works independently of changes in power systems or processor needs. It also has the Sarayu Power Stage and a Modular Scalability design, which help handle high power requirements and support advanced voltage control systems.

Recently, the company announced the successful tape-out (final chip design completion) of its smart power stage chip for AI infrastructure. This chip was fully designed and developed in India by its in-house engineering team.
