What is Chamelio?
Chamelio develops an AI-native platform for in-house legal teams. Its software manages and executes legal work across the contract lifecycle, including contract drafting, review, negotiation, approvals, obligations, and other legal workflows.
The platform is designed to perform routine and low-risk legal tasks with AI agents while allowing lawyers to oversee work when human judgment is required. Chamelio also allows legal teams to build agents that can work with other departments, including procurement, finance, product, people, compliance, and sales.
Funding Details
Chamelio raised $26 million in a Series A round led by Entrée Capital. Existing investors Work-Bench and Emerge Ventures participated while Bright Pixel Capital also joined the round.
The company said its annual recurring revenue (ARR) has grown fourfold since its Seed round. Chamelio now has hundreds of customers, including Wiz, monday.com, Socure, AppsFlyer, and Wonderful.ai.
How Will Chamelio Use the Funding?
Chamelio will use the fresh capital to further develop its proprietary legal action model. The company also plans to expand its legal engineering and product teams and invest in onboarding technology.
Its onboarding technology is designed to help customers migrate from legacy legal systems, organize their contract repositories, convert existing processes into workflows, and deploy AI into production.
Who Founded Chamelio
Chamelio is headquartered in Israel and was founded in 2024 by Alex Zilberman, Gil Banyas, and Gal Lellouche.
Zilberman previously held leadership roles at Pagaya and was COO and co-founder of AnyVision. Banyas has 15 years of legal experience and previously served as general counsel at AnyVision. Lellouche previously founded an AI company that was acquired by Sage where he later held senior AI leadership roles.
Chamelio's platform combines contract negotiation, legal intake, workflows, contract intelligence and legal knowledge. It also integrates with tools including Salesforce, Slack, NetSuite and procurement systems.
Market and Business Growth
Chamelio is targeting corporate legal departments that face increasing workloads while budgets and attorney headcount remain constrained.
The company says its platform is designed to move beyond traditional contract lifecycle management (CLM) software, which has primarily been used to store contracts and manage related processes. Chamelio's software is built to perform legal actions and execute multistep workflows.
The startup now has hundreds of customers and has reported fourfold ARR growth since its Seed round.
What Happens Next?
Chamelio plans to continue developing its legal action model while expanding its legal engineering and product teams. The company will also invest in onboarding technology to help more corporate legal teams move from legacy systems to AI-powered legal operations.
Leadership Statements
"The mistake in legal AI has been assuming the future simply looks like today's lawyer with faster contractual fact-checking," said Alex Zilberman, CEO and co-founder of Chamelio. "AI in a legal setting shows dividends when it can make decisions intuitively, built on the corporate intelligence of each individual business. This is what Chamelio does. We ensure in-house legal departments deliver watertight contracts and outputs at AI speed, validated by the rigor of lawyers."
"Chamelio is building the AI-native operating system for in-house legal teams - becoming the system of record, system of action, and system of intelligence for the modern legal function," said Eran Bielski, General Partner at Entrée Capital. "What stood out to us was not only the strength of the product, but how quickly Chamelio's founders execute, learn from customer feedback, and turn that feedback into a product with category-defining potential."
Zilberman added: "Chamelio is empowering the next era of legal operations, one which includes vital human legal judgment, backed by legal engineers who turn that knowledge into systems and AI agents. With our platform underpinning every facet of in-house contract execution, we are redefining how in-house legal activities are carried out."
