Optix, an XR tech business based in Beijing, China, has raised $15 million in funding. Primavera Venture Partners led the round. Lanchi Ventures, an existing investor, took part as well. The money will be used by the business to increase operations and development initiatives.
It is a startup and CEO-led company that creates optical technologies and provides cutting-edge solutions for AR and VR goods.

It focuses on AR waveguide technologies, including as geometric waveguide, SRG waveguide, and VHG waveguide, as well as in-house designed and manufactured VR pancakes. The business set up its own production line and laboratory.

Shortly after Apple debuted the Vision Pro, their first headgear, in June 2023, Optix released their VR Pancake optical module, which boasts 8K binocular resolution.
Commenting on the news Gary Yan said: “Our goal is to provide the ultimate optical experience, and to create outstanding AR and VR products in collaboration with world-leading customers and industry partners.”
