CloudSEK Raises $19M to Boost AI Cybersecurity and Global Expansion

Cybersecurity company CloudSEK has raised $19 million in new funding through its Series A2 and B1 rounds. The money will help the company improve its AI-powered platform that predicts cyber threats and supports its expansion plans.

Investors from both India and the U.S. took part in the funding round. These included MassMutual Ventures, Inflexor Ventures, Prana Ventures, Tenacity Ventures, and Commvault, a strategic investor. Some of CloudSEK’s earlier backers—like the Meeran Family (founders of Eastern Group), StartupXSeed, Neon Fund, and Exfinity Ventures—supported the company.

CloudSEK was started in 2015 by cybersecurity expert Rahul Sasi. The company uses AI to create tools that help spot cyber threats early before they become serious problems. Today, CloudSEK works with over 250 banking, healthcare, technology, and government businesses.

CloudSEK will use the new funding to improve its technology, especially its AI tools and how its platform works with others. Unlike many companies that respond after a cyber attack, CloudSEK stands out by looking for early warning signs—like leaked passwords or exposed APIs—so it can help stop threats before they cause damage.

“We built CloudSEK to predict initial attack vectors and stop threats before they make headlines—our goal has always been to prevent incidents before they escalate,” said Rahul Sasi, Co-founder and CEO of CloudSEK. “Unlike conventional threat intelligence, which often focuses on indicators of compromise after an attack, our platform identifies early warning signs—such as leaked credentials, exposed APIs, or compromised vendors—weeks before an incident occurs. That’s what we call predictive, not forensic, intelligence.

Rahul Sasi said, “Today, more than 60% of our new income comes from international markets, and the U.S. is growing the fastest for us. We’ve reached this level while still making more money than we spend. This new funding, backed by top investors, supports our core belief—that cybersecurity should focus on preventing attacks, not just reacting to them.”

In 2021, CloudSEK raised $7 million in Series A funding, led by MassMutual Ventures. With the latest round, the company has raised $26 million.

CloudSEK plans to launch a Series B2 funding round next, aiming to bring in new investors and give some early investors a chance to cash out partially.
