Cybersecurity startup Frame Security raises $50 million in round

Frame Security, a new startup has raised US$50 million in funding. The investment was led by Index Ventures, Team8, and Picture Capital.

The funding round also had support from Wiz CEO Assaf Rappaport and tech investor Elad Gil. Elad Gil first invested his own money in the company and later invested more through his investment fund, Gil Capital.

Frame is building a “human risk security” platform that helps companies protect themselves from cyberattacks that target people instead of systems.

It focuses on stopping advanced scams like phishing emails, fake identities, and AI-generated deepfake attacks.

The company says most security training in organizations is outdated and doesn’t work well against today’s more advanced threats. It also claims that nearly 90% of data breaches still happen because of human mistakes, even when training is provided.

With generative AI, it has become much easier for attackers to create fake emails, phone calls, and even video meetings that look like real employees or company leaders, making these scams harder to detect.

“In a single day, employees make hundreds of decisions that carry potential cybersecurity implications,” said Shlomo. “AI has made social engineering attacks dramatically easier to create and much harder to detect.”

Frame says its platform is already being used by many large companies. These include Louis Dreyfus Company, AlphaSense, and Rockefeller Capital Management.

Founded by Tal Shlomo and Sharon Shmueli, Frame Security is a cybersecurity startup that helps companies protect their employees from modern online scams and AI-powered attacks.

It focuses on what is called “human risk security,” which means stopping hackers who try to trick people using things like fake emails, impersonation, voice cloning, and deepfake videos.
