Cybersecurity Startup Way Security Secures $20 Mn Seed Funding for AI Identity Management Platform

Cybersecurity startup Way Security has raised US$20 million in Seed funding. The round was led by Insight Partners and Glilot Capital.

SUMMARY

  • Way Security has raised US$20 million in Seed funding.
  • The round was led by Insight Partners and Glilot Capital.
  • The funding will help Way Security expand its AI-driven cybersecurity platform.

The company is building an AI-powered identity and access management (IAM) platform. It helps businesses manage employee access to apps, systems, and digital services more easily and securely.

Way Security's platform works with the identity systems that companies already use. It reduces the manual work needed to connect those systems with different applications and services, saving time and improving security.

Speaking to Calcalist, CEO and co-founder Yossi Barishev said: "We both came from the trenches, leading security teams, and set out to build a solution to a problem we experienced ourselves and that had no adequate answer. We understand this challenge in a way that very few others do. We are not just Unit 8200 veterans, we lived this pain firsthand."

"Identity management has become the first line of defense and one of the most important security investments organizations make. We give organizations visibility into where identities exist and what systems they operate across. We complement the identity systems that already exist today, such as Okta, which still require integration into every system in the organization."

"In an average enterprise, there are hundreds of systems that need to be connected. We dramatically shorten that process and solve one of the biggest challenges in identity management, getting those systems integrated. Every identity solution on the market today needs a complementary operational layer. There is currently no solution that can automatically enforce identity policies across every system in an organization without dedicated integration work."

Founded in 2025 by Yossi Barishev and Yonatan Rosenberg, Way Security helps businesses get more value from the identity and access management (IAM) tools they already use. Its platform improves the way these security systems work across the organization.

The platform supports features like single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), user lifecycle management, and identity protection. It ensures these security tools work smoothly across all applications and systems, even in complex IT environments.
