Mitigata, a cyber risk and insurance startup, has raised US$15 million (around ₹141 crore) in a Series B funding round led by Bessemer Venture Partners.
Existing investors Nexus Venture Partners, Titan Capital, and WEH Ventures also participated in the funding round.
The company plans to use the fresh funds to hire more employees, strengthen its research and development efforts, and expand its business into key markets in the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
"These funds are going to be used to expand our team. We will add another 100 employees in the coming year across different domains. Our security operation centres in Bengaluru and Delhi will now be enabled by an AI stack, which will be able to analyse 10x alerts with the same number of analysts," cofounders Mohit Anand and Sarthak Dubey said.
“The accelerating number of AI-driven malicious attacks, combined with a severe shortage of cybersecurity talent, has resulted in a perfect storm for Indian enterprises,” said Pankaj Mitra, partner at Bessemer Venture Partners.
“Mithigata has built a timely AI-native resilience platform that services enterprises across their cybersecurity journey — from assessing risks to procuring cyber insurance, deploying best-in-class tools and fully managing security outcomes,” he added.
Founded in 2023 by Mohit Anand, Sarthak Dubey, Mayank Morya, and Akshit Kaushik, Bengaluru-based Mitigata is a cybersecurity startup that helps businesses protect themselves from cyber threats. The company offers a range of services, including cyber insurance, threat detection and response and an AI-powered platform for managing compliance requirements.
Its customers include companies such as Zepto, Zoho, and Motilal Oswal.
Mitigata is headquartered in Bengaluru and also has offices in Delhi and Mumbai. The company currently employs around 130 people.
