Dat Bike Secures $26 Mn in to Expand Electric Motorbike Business

Vietnamese electric motorbike manufacturer Dat Bike has Secures $26 million in Series B funding, with Japan's F.C.C. and Rebright Partners co-leading the round. The funding comes as early investor PIDG exits the company after supporting its manufacturing and business growth.

Dat Bike's Funding and Investment Details

Dat Bike initially raised $22 million in September 2025. The company later secured an additional amount, bringing the total Series B funding to $26 million at a second close in March 2026.

PIDG's InfraCo invested $4 million in Dat Bike through a convertible loan in 2024. The investment came at a time when growth capital was difficult to access. PIDG's exit marks the end of its investment in the Vietnamese electric motorbike manufacturer.

Manufacturing Expansion and Business Growth

The funding from PIDG supported Dat Bike's manufacturing expansion, battery production improvements, and product reengineering. These investments helped the company increase its monthly production capacity tenfold.

Dat Bike also expanded its retail presence from four stores to 70 and created more than 200 jobs. According to the company-related figures provided in the report, its electric motorbikes have contributed to an estimated 25,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (tCO₂e) in avoided emissions.

Vietnam's Electric Mobility Market

Vietnam is moving towards electric mobility as the government aims to transition all road vehicles to electricity or green energy by 2050. Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City are also introducing low-emission zones and measures to reduce the use of petrol-powered motorcycles.

These developments are creating opportunities for electric motorbike manufacturers such as Dat Bike. However, competition is increasing as VinFast strengthens its position in the market and established motorcycle manufacturers expand their electric vehicle offerings.
