Dubai Customs Launches AI Platform to Support SMEs and Innovation

The Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC) launched its interactive Dubai Customs AI Platform to pursue its ambitious vision and innovation leadership. Developers can create AI-powered tools and programmes for smooth customisation on the new platform.

The platform helps small and medium-sized organisations flourish by providing a workspace for collaboration.

PCFC Chairman Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem praised Dubai Customs’ AI technology integration. He added these activities support the Dubai Government’s strategic goals and aim to boost Dubai’s digital city status. His Excellency noted that AI in customs and logistics supports the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the city’s economic growth.

Bin Sulayem clarified that considering the growing significance of digital data and AI in advancing government operations, the new AI platform would greatly enhance the commercial and logistical supply chain.

The platform focusses on improving the quality and usability of digital data in compliance with the highest standards of quality, usability, and governance. It does this by utilising contemporary technology to enable faster and more efficient operations.

Nasser Al Neyadi, CEO of the PCFC, stated that the Dubai Customs AI Platform will create new job opportunities and support the economic and logistics ecosystem. Investing in modern technology is the optimal path to enhancing operational efficiency and improving economic performance, he said. The platform’s launch aligns with the Dubai Digital Strategy, which aims to ensure data maturity and effectiveness, enhance data quality across the emirate, and position Dubai as a major decision-making hub and a model for converting data into social and economic value, he noted.

Al Neyadi added that the new platform allows global organisations to share their expertise and exchange ideas and programs that connect with other parties’ systems using AI-powered programmes and systems.

The platform provides a perfect environment for global and startup AI companies to share discoveries and experiences. It intends to encourage startups and worldwide companies interested in AI technology to collaborate and build technical solutions.

It will provide jobs and help organisations that can’t build non-AI technologies. It gives them all tools and integrated programs that can be attached to their systems. New supply chain, risk analysis, and other programmes on the platform serve logistics and the economy. It also allows worldwide firms to share experience, ideas, and programs that connect with other parties’ systems, making it appealing to startups and global AI companies.
